whoa i didn't expect to accomplish so much today. okay they aren't really accomplishments. anyway, yeah i did manage to do a lot today.
for a first, we've almost completed the song we're going to do for Battle of the Bands. just some bass parts and final touches, and of course, showmanship. vocals are unexpectedly okay as well as keyboards.
wahahaha we got our first fan. hahaha. Trevor's mom. okay, she may not be a fan, but she liked our song. haha. she preferred "Jesus Of Suburbia" to "All The Small Things", "American Idiot" and "Holiday". i'm quite proud of ourselves, never thought we'd make it this far into covering "Jesus Of Suburbia".
halfway through i broke my 5th string of my guitar, so i couldn't use it. :( well the only thing to be thankful for was that it broke then and not during auditions. that would really really suck.

during our practice i recieved a call for Yu Jin to go for training. i was reluctant to go but i did in the end.
i'm proud to say that i trained today!

after training i got my dad to pick me up, and bring me to Peninsular Plaza to buy my strings. i bought a few picks with it too.

yeah, i dare say that i have accomplished a lot today, i'm so tired now.

yesterday night i went over to Ben's to practice "Jesus Of Suburbia". to prepare for today's jamming session at Trevor's place. i had to learn all the words but it was pretty tough. the song's so long. but it was quite worth it.

after church today i went to Trevor's. before that i anticipated a cold jamming session with hostile aura. i didn't know Trevor that well.
but surprisingly it wasn't. actually, i felt that it was kinda good. the way we played the song was alright too, and we did practice other songs as well. the singing was *ahem* good. :D and the instrumentals were great, all that's needed to be worked on right now is the coordination and the backup singers.
i hope we win, i really do.

Marcus better learn the keyboards.

results came today, i'm lazy to go into specifics, my average should be about 59. failed both maths.

after school i didn't go for training, because of the announcement of the Battle if the Bands, Ben and i decided to go jamming. took Marcus along. surprisingly he was our makeshift drummer. i was doing bass for a while, and sucked at it so i switched back to guitar. Marcus wasn't horribly bad. played American Idiot and a bit of All The Small Things. quite fun, quite fruitful. i want to join Battle of the Bands. auditions are next week, i'm quite disappointed they announced it so late. it's quite impossible to get an act together in such little time. damn.

anyway after jamming Marcus went home. Ben and i went to go look at guitar accessories. found the distortion pedal he read about and wanted, but we had no money. so we had to go get it from my place. rushed home, got the money went back to the shop which we got to exactly on time- they were closing already. anyway, we both got the pedals and i got two new picks. yay.

aye guitar is so common now, i want to learn something new. it's so irritating that when you're in class happily playing your friend's guitar, some guy comes up to you and grabs the guitar neck, saying that he wants to play. and about a month or two ago that guy couldn't play anything on the guitar. and when you finally pass him the guitar he'll be trying to showcase every song he can play on the guitar. no, it doesn't sound very nice but he thinks it does. goddammit why couldn't they learn another instrument.

tomorrow should end off sad. like, really really sad. results are gonna be passed out, i'm probably going to have the lowest class average. or one of the lowest anyway. aye, i really need to start studying during the hols. i doubt i will but i'll keep trying to convince myself it will be helpful to start early.

arrr. two papers left. History tomorrow and Advanced Math the day after. i'm not looking forward to any of those papers, only the time after them. i dont even know what i'm going to be doing, i just want the tests to be over. i screwed my Core Math and Physics up, Chem today was okay. Language Arts, Chinese and IHS were alright.

i'll go study for History now, i hope i can do A Math properly.

it's been quite a while since i've last updated. for obvious reasons, i have been studying. well, at least i've been trying. very hard.

i had Language Arts and Inroduction to Human Societies today. i surprised myself, i didn't know i could write so much. maybe the papers were just easy. it's Chinese tomorrow. i'm only worried about composition, the rest is fine. i'm going to try really hardcore studying this weekend. i have a week foundation. might as well start building it right now. i mean this weekend.
